Our bunkhouse accommodation has been sympathetically converted from old, sandstone farm buildings. The rustic, old beams have been retained in keeping with the history of the building, dating back to approximately 1710. Situated in a courtyard, there are three spacious bedrooms each containing two bunk beds, meaning that each room can sleep up to four people. Extra beds are available.

The bunkhouses have been an extension to our small, family run, quiet touring caravan park and campsite. Set in the countryside, well away from main roads and the busy Lake District, yet within 25 minutes of Ullswater. Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish Borders are also within easy distance.

Our location is ideal for cyclists, as we are situated half a mile off the C2C cycle route. We are also an excellent location for walkers, surrounded by quiet and serene public footpaths.

The shower and toilet facilities are situated within the Court Yard and these are of a very high standard.

Bunkbeds are made up with a bed sheet and pillow, duvets are available for an additional fee of £20 upon request.

Camping pods offer an authentic camping experience without the hassle of putting up a tent. We have 12 camping pods with magnificent views. Cart horse field offers a pod only section with an uninterrupted view of the sunset. Orchard field offers more of a camping vibe set in a huge open field along with 5 tent pitches and a volley ball net in the middle. Orchard field also offers amazing views of the sunset.

Each pod includes electric, lighting, a porch for sitting out and a picnic bench for dinning, everything else you need to provide. There is enough space for two adults and two small children to sleep.

Our Tipi Tents are available from May until the end of September and have uninterrupted views of the river Eden. The Tipis are made from cotton and have a raised decking area.

We ask that no cooking is done inside the Tipi and any barbeques must be on the Grass, not on the decking.

You need to bring everything to camp but not the tent. There is an electric supply to the Tipi, but no heating or lighting is provided.

Check in from 3pm and we ask you to leave your Tipi by 11am on the day of departure.

We would appreciate the traditional way of removing shoes when entering the Tipi and please leave it as you found it.

Sorry no dogs or candles are allowed inside our Tipis.

Minimum stay of 2 nights during the high season and weekends, but 1 night stays are available mid-week.

Our pitches all come with an electric hook up and offer spectacular views over the Eden valley. Tent prices include two adults. A one off payment of £3 applies to each extra person over 12 years.

We have 36 pitches spread over 2 2 acres of land. Two of our caravan sites sit adjacent to each other and are pretty much identical. The Farm Site comes first and therefore is slightly closer to all the facilities. Both sites offer spacious pitches that sit along the walled hedge rows offering privacy. The centre of the both sites are kept free giving a open feel and lots of free space.

Woodside our other caravan site is an adults only quiet site. Set just over the small country road in-front of the forest of offers a quite secluded spots but still within easy quick reach of all the facilities.
